platinum iridium 90/10 platinum iridium alloy wire for medical developing tube
Platinum iridium alloy is a platinum based binary alloy containing iridium. It is a continuous solid solution at high temperature. Solid phase decomposition occurs when it is slowly cooled to 975 ~ 700 ℃, but the phase equilibrium process is very slow. Iridium is difficult to volatilize and oxidize, which can significantly improve the corrosion resistance of platinum. There are ptlrl0 and ptlr17 5. Ptlr25, ptlr30 and other alloys have high hardness, high melting point, high corrosion resistance and low contact resistance. Platinum iridium alloy is a classic electrical contact material, which is used for the electrical contact of aero engine ignition contact, high sensitivity relay and micro-motor; Potentiometer, conductive rings and brushes of precision sensors such as aircraft, missiles and gyroscopes.
Application: Platinum iridium alloys are widely used in modern industry and technology.
(1) Instrument materials: they are classic weak current contact and conductive ring materials, highly reliable ignition materials for aeroengines, potentiometer windings and wire tension materials for various precision instruments, sensors and micro motors, thick film resistance materials in microelectronic technology, etc.
(2) Electrode materials in chloral alkali electrolysis industry.
(3) Dental and other medical materials.
(4) Standard resistance, weight and meter ruler materials.
(5)In fact, platinum iridium alloys with high iridium content are not suitable for long-term use at high temperature. The iridium content of alloys widely used in industry is generally less than 30%. Ptir5 and ptir10 are classical potentiometer winding materials, Pt-Ir 17.5 is brush material, and ptir25 is a highly reliable aero engine point Fire contact material. Platinum iridium alloy has been replaced by a variety of gold-based alloys as winding materials and brush materials, but ptir25 alloy has no reliable replacement material so far.
